Minerals Species: Andradite Garnet in Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Nightingale District, Pershing County, Nevada.
Description: The largest andradite garnet crystal from this new find, a translucent brown dodecahedral-trapezohedral andradite garnet on milky quartz with a second crystal on the side. One face of the largest crystal has a contact from surrounding matrix. Collected in 2009.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x7x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 30-38 mm.
Price: $75 (plus shipping).
