Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 46283:

Minerals Species: Ferberite, Muscovite, Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Yaogangxian Mine, Nanling Mountains, Hunan Province, China.
Description: Heavy cluster of parallel black ferberite crystals to 90 mm with the rear surfaces overgrown with platy brown muscovite mica crystals to 6 mm and translucent colorless quartz crystals to 15 mm. The ferberite crystals have steep parallel terminations. All crystals present appear complete and undamaged, but there is evidence among the many crystals that one crystal is incomplete. Ex. Bob Holzer (1934-2009) collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10x7x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-90 mm.
