Minerals Species: Apophyllite-(KF) on Prehnite pseudomorphs after Laumontite.
Location of mineral deposit: Mumbai (Bombay) Quarry, Maharastra, India.
Description: Large cluster of translucent light-green prehnite pseudomorphs after elongated laumontite crystals to 40 mm long. Unusual elongated crystals to 24 mm long of lustrous colorless apophyllite crystals are overgrown on the prehnite pseudomorphs. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 20x16x13 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-24 mm.
Price: $350 (plus shipping).
