Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 48395:

Minerals Species: Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Gallatin Canyon, Gallatin County, Montana.
Description: Transparent golden-yellow scalenohedral calcite crystals on gray matrix. The largest calcite is actually twinned on the C-axis {111}. The calcite crystals have complex crystallization patterns on the surfaces that give them a textured appearance. The termination of the crystal is chipped. From my personal collection, originally acquired in 1989; ex. Bob Jackson.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 12x9x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-80 mm.
Price: $195 (plus shipping).
