Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 48495:

Minerals Species: Kyanite in Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Windham, Cumberland County, Maine.
Description: Several bladed blue kyanite crystals in quartz with the bottom sawn flat so the specimen stands upright without support. The top kyanite crystal is almost completely exposed. This specimen probably came from the Cook Road locality. Ex. J. Cilen (1916-1997) #1687; acquired from G. Vitali in 1963.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x7x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 15-55 mm.
Price: $45 (plus shipping).
