Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 49286:

Minerals Species: Azurite on Malachite.
Location of mineral deposit: Carlota Mine, 3460' level, Pinto Creek, Miami-Inspiration District, Gila County, Arizona.
Description: Lustrous transparent dark-blue azurite crystals on a thin crust of powdery green malachite. The azurite crystals are rhombohedral crystal form with complex crystallization patterns on the crystal faces and complex edge faces. The crystals grew in a constricted vein preventing complete crystal development. Most visible crystals are complete and undamaged. Collected Oct. 24, 2009; ex. Evan Jones.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x5x1 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-8 mm.
Price: $395 (plus shipping).
